Long-term Vision
「E・J‐Vision2030」
(FY2021 - FY2030)
A group that "continues to innovate and evolve, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society where people can have dreams and peace of mind"
Message
The E∙J Group has formulated a long-term vision so that it can continue to play an active role as "a leading solution consultant group for infrastructure in Japan" 10 years from the vision's creation, in 2030. This long-term vision stipulates what the ideal form for the E∙J Group should be as a comprehensive civil engineering consultant in society 10 years in the future, and how we will contribute to society through our business.
Though the world is currently in a state of uncertainty due to issues such as the spread of the novel coronavirus, at the root of this is a desire to create a sustainable global environment and society, and a new social order that is being created through the use of ICT, etc. In this new social order, the way of developing social capital is also changing.
In the face of such trends, the E∙J Group is promoting ESG management while at the same time incorporating cutting-edge technology, know-how, and knowledge, continuing to innovate and evolve ourselves so that we can be active as a major player in the civil engineering consultant business moving forward. This way of developing social capital transcends the provision of functions and benefits that is simple construction supporting the development of society and people's lives, becoming more complex, more connected to people and lives, and more connected to various value axes. We will continue to deliver "dreams" and "peace of mind" to society as these changes occur.
"From problem solving to value creation." The E∙J Group will continue to acquire new technologies, actively work on sustainability, and "contribute to the realization of a sustainable society where people can have dreams and peace of mind."

By taking actions such as digitalization and responding to intensifying natural disasters, the civil engineering consultant business continues to expand in the midst of major social changes. Under these circumstances, the E∙J Group has established three roles that contribute to the safety, security, and affluence of society, based on the Group's core competencies.

Basic Policies
Strengthening ESG management initiatives under the four basic policies
The long-term vision E∙J-Vision 2030 has four basic policies that are centered on ESG perspectives.
Of these, "strengthen measures to mitigate the burden on the environment" and "contribute to the creation of a sustainable and resilient society" further develop the inherent social responsibilities of the civil engineering consultant business, aiming to implement sustainable perspectives as the main purpose of the advancement of business instead of taking them as a supplementary means of considering how business is done. In other words, transcending the provision of functions and benefits that is mere construction, we will place the creation of new value that will solve the problems faced by people and mankind at the center of our business. On the other hand, "practice diversity management" and "strengthen governance" are policies that ensure the diversity of human resources that is integral to the sustainability of the E∙J Group while maintaining fairness and transparency, and ensure that we strengthen the management foundation so that we can respond appropriately to risks and opportunities. These initiatives are in line with the SDGs and will contribute to their achievement.

Business Strategy
To a future-orientated social infrastructure creation group
Movement toward a sustainable environment is progressing, while simultaneously the utilization of ICT, etc., continues, creating a new social order. In the long-term vision, we are formulating long-term business strategies together with ESG management, aiming to be a "future-orientated social infrastructure creation group" that can respond to this new social order.
We have set the six new priority fields based on the three core competencies, and will expand into the area of future-oriented social infrastructure.
For the new technologies, know-how, etc., required for the goal of being a "future-orientated social infrastructure creation group," we are establishing a department within the Group dedicated to the promotion of research and development, and at the same time working on external collaborations. Our specific business expansion methods are based on the three core competencies of "environment," "disaster prevention and conservation," and "government support," with which the Group has cultivated a highly competitive advantage up to now. By expanding our business into six new priority fields that have been reorganized to capture structural changes in infrastructure development demand, we will work to quickly advance into the area of future-oriented social infrastructure creation.
